32^nd Annual Cruisin Ocean City

Cruise on down to Ocean City Maryland for the 32nd Annual Cruisin Ocean City, May 18-19-20-21, 2023.  This event will feature over 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics and trucks.  While the main events will take place at the beautiful beachside Inlet Parking lot, which is located along the historic OC boardwalk, and at the Ocean City Convention Center, there will be various car shows citywide.  There will also be entertainment, boardwalk parades, special guests, featured cars, live music, celebrities and more. 

Scheduled to appear at Cruisin 2023 is Joe Martin and Amanda Martin from the hit show Iron Resurrection. Joe and Amanda will be at the Beachside Inlet on Friday May 19th from 11am-4pm and inside the OC Convention Center on Saturday May 20th from 11am-4pm. Also, celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the classic movie American Graffiti with the stars and cars!  From the movie meet Mackenzie Phillips and Candy Clark who will be at the event Thursday and Friday inside the OC Convention Center and Saturday outside at the Beachside Inlet.  Plus make sure to check out the movie show cars on display inside the OC Convention Center on Thursday and Friday. 

Additional entertainment includes Deejay Seaside Jimmy, Cruisin Gold Deejay, Golden Touch Band, Music by Mook Jones and BINGO taking place on the various entertainment stages.  Thursday night and Friday night there will be a drive-in movie taking place at the Inlet Parking lot. Thursday night will feature Smokey and the Bandit and Friday night will feature Jaws. Movies will start at 9pm.  While the movies are free to watch make sure to pay for parking on Friday night in the Inlet.  New this year will be the Inaugural Husband Calling Contest that will take place Friday afternoon at 1:30pm on the Inlet Stage.  This should be an exciting event not to miss!  The 8th Annual Pinup Contest will take place Friday night at 8pm at Pier 23.  Cruise on over to West OC and cheer on your favorite Pinup or register to compete!  Saturday afternoon make sure to cruise your pedal car down to the Inlet stage for the Pedal Car Show at 4pm.  There will be lots of awards for all the future cruisers.  Saturday night there will be a special neon and LED light car show at 9pm on South First Street.  

Back by popular demand, The Doo Wop Project will take the stage on Thursday May 18th. In their epic show The Doo Wop Project takes audiences on a journey from foundational tunes of groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through their influences on the sounds of Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons all the way to DooWopified versions of modern musicians like Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5. Featuring stars of Broadway’s smash hits Jersey Boys and Motown: The Musical, the Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate—and in some cases entirely reimagine—some of the greatest music in American pop and rock history! Some of the country’s top national names will be showcasing their products in manufacturers midway located at the Inlet Parking Lot including Advance Auto Parts, Advantage Lifts, AMSOIL, Barrett-Jackson, BluBlockers, Bruno's Classic Muscle, Chevy Performance Parts, Classic Auto Mall, Edelbrock, Grundy Insurance, Lafayette Federal Credit Union, LEED Brakes, One Off Rod & Custom, OPTIMA, Pioneer Pole Buildings, Porter Mufflers, Rommel Harley Davidson, Summit Racing Equipment, Sundance Vacations, T-Mobile, WXP Motorsports and Xfinity plus at the OC Convention Center there will be Gateway Classic Cars along with vendors both inside and outside, including a Swap Meet, selling automotive merchandise along with arts & crafts, jewelry, t-shirts and many other specialty items. 

Inside the OC Convention Center on Thursday, Friday and Saturday be sure to check out the Artwork Contender Showcase where select cars will be on display competing to be on furture artwork.  Spectators can vote for their favorite!

A popular event as part of Cruisin Ocean City is always the special Boardwalk Parades which will take Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 27th street to the Inlet. Parades are scheduled to begin at 8am but sometimes start a little early if traffic gets backed up.

On Sunday the Grand Finale Awards will take place at 2pm on the Inlet Stage. Throughout the 4 day event over 500 trophies, plaques and awards will be presented plus lots of giveaways!

IMPORTANT OC ORDINANCES

During Cruisin Ocean City the town will be designated as a Special Event Zone.  There will be reduced speed limits and increased fines.  Everyone in town is encouraged to drive safely and obey all laws.  For additional information on the Special Event Zone please visit the Town of Ocean City FAQ page.

Maryland Motor Vehicle Law and the Town of Ocean City Ordinance state that no loud noise from a vehicle may be heard at a distance of 50 feet from the vehicle at any time.

The town of Ocean City has a trailer parking ordinance which prohibits trailer parking on city streets from May 1st – October 31st. Any Cruisin participants that will be parking a trailer on city streets will need a trailer parking permit. For more information on trailer parking please click here. When making your reservations please check with your hotel or condo to see if they provide trailer parking. For a trailer parking permit application please click here.
